Work continues on the construction of a new 11 story building built behind the historic 7th and L street facades
of the Marshall to be joined with a new tower to be constructed at the site of the Jade Hotel.
The new building would be set back from the east and south facades of the Marshall to retain
the visual scale of the Marshall facades from the street level. 170 guest rooms along with 5,000 square
feet of ground floor retail. The project is estimated to cost $56.65 million. (see Financial Considerations here).
