Steel beams have been placed to help hold walls of the
building while the building gets a makeover. The $68 million projects with $4 million in city subsidies will preserve the
red-brick Marshall Hotel shell but have 172-room hotel rise up 11-stories
behind the preserved landmark on the city’s register of historic and cultural
resources. The Hyatt Centric hotel is set to open in the summer of 2020.
