1215 O Street Office Building Construction

1215 O Street State Office Bldg.
Construction Milestones:

  • Building envelope is substantially complete
  • Elevators are operational and are pending final controls and inspection
  • Modular Systems Furniture installation is substantially complete on Levels 2 to 11
  • Metal stud framing, MEP rough-in and drywall is substantially complete
  • Interior finishes are nearing completion on Levels 2 to 11
  • Interior plaza areas are nearing completion
  • First floor lobby and Kiosks are nearing completion
  • Inspection, Testing and Commissioning of building systems is underway
  • Site work continues along O Street

This $274 million dollar structure is a eleven story mid-rise, 360,000 total gross square feet.  Completion early 2021

1215 O Street Office Building Construction



Construction Milestones:
  • Elevator work is in progress
  • Modular Systems Furniture installation has begun on Level 3
  • Site work continues along Neighbor’s Alley and will move to Pedestrian Alley
  • Gas and fire water line tie-ins are in progress
  • Raised access flooring installation is substantially complete Levels 2 through 11
  • Metal stud framing, MEP rough-in and drywall is in progress Levels 8 through 11
  • Installation of Penthouse metal panels is substantially complete
  • Roofing on Penthouse and Main Roof are substantially complete
Design Milestones:
  • Retail space design is in the approval stage
  • Interior graphics package design is in the approval stage
  • Furniture layout reconfigured for post COVID return to work scenario
  • Interior and Exterior art installations are in design with selected artists

    The project is scheduled for completion early 2021.

-Drywall framing is in progress through the 8th floor
-Mechanical & electrical work is proceeding through the 8th floor
-Raised access floor is being installed on the 2nd to 4th floors

1215 O Street Office Building Construction

 California State Office Bldg. 1215 O Street Sacramento - 11-story mid-rise
The new building appears to be on the ninth floor of the eleven story mid-rise. The exterior glass wall looks interesting but we will not know for sure until it’s complete. This $274 million dollar structure is expected to be finished in early 2021.
Construction Milestones:
Eight floor concrete is complete
Walls and columns to the 9th floor are complete
Ninth floor decking and rebar is in progress
Masonry continues in the lower level
Drywall framing is in progress on the 1st floor
Mechanical, fire protection and electrical work is in progress in the lower level and on the 1st floor

New O Street Office Building Construction

New O Street State Office Bldg. 1215 O Street - 11-story midrise

This might seem like a duplicate post, but there are two different state office buildings being built on O Street just a few blocks from each other. This one is located at 1215 O Street between 12th & 13th Streets on O Street. An 11-story midrise with 360,000SF at a cost of $274 million. Groundbreaking was held in September of last year and is scheduled to be completed early 2021.

O Street Project

Now that the basement is dugout, the process of drilling piles appears to be most of the activity on site. The 11-story office building expected to be completed in 2021 at a cost of $274 million.

O Street Office Building

It did not take long for the California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) Annex building to be demolished. The new building will at 1215 O Street,  360,000 sf, 11-stories and have a capacity of 1,150 employees.
