Sacramento Union Building..we hardly knew ya.


















































I think it would be kinda cool to see them save this part and maybe display it somewhere in the building. Nothing that stares you right in the face though, something discrete, but noticeable

Someone told me that Mark Twain wrote for the Sac Union for a period of time in 1866. There is tidbit of info I had no idea about...WOW

End of an era. I meant to go down during my lunch hour but got sidetracked (and had forgotten my camera anyway). I thought it was interesting that they were going to set up bleachers.

It's amazing how fast that blog spam hits your comments after you write something...

It was quite a sight down there today. Definitely the start of a new era for Sacramento.

I just hope we can handle all the inevitable growing pains that come with developing a true urban core.

Why save something like The Sacramento Union building? Just because Mark Twain worked there? Please! We need another office building or high-rise luxury condo...
